PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Wool is an ideal fibre for bed making – it is antibacterial and responsive to fluctuations in body temperature, wicking away moisture to help keep sleepers at a comfortable temperature whatever the time of year.

This Legacy Origins IV mattress features several generous layers of traceable RWS wool, combined Hypnos’ expertly engineered ReActivePro™ pocket springs with 9 active turns to provide total body comfort, whilst Triple Edge Protection™ gives true edge-to-edge support.

FINISHING TOUCHES

Relax on a Belgian damask Viscose sleep surface which safely and naturally meets all furniture and safety fire regulations without the need for synthetic flame-retardants.

The Legacy Origins IV is a double-sided mattress designed to be turned with the seasons. It is available in Medium and Firmer spring tensions (comfort levels) and Zip and Link. 

Every Hypnos mattress is handcrafted in the traditional way by skilled bedmakers based at our Princes Risborough factory. Designed with comfort at its heart, you will never own a more comfortable and more beautiful bed.

The Legacy Collection consists of six elegantly refined, expertly handcrafted mattresses that celebrate the history and expertise of Hypnos. The range features traceable British Wool certified by the Responsible Wool Standard and resilient comfort layers of natural Talalay Latex tapped from managed rubber tree plantations, and firm, breathable recycled eOlus™ fibres.

We care about the wellbeing of our farmers and growers who in turn care for the health of their soil and their animal’s welfare, with a commitment to a low-carbon future and biodiversity restoration.

Our farmers and growers work within fully audited and traceable assurance schemes, allowing our raw materials to be traced back to their origin with organisations like Red Tractor, The Woolkeepers®, Better Cotton Initiative and CottonConnect certifying our raw materials, and ensuring Hypnos pays a fair price.

COMFORT WITH INTEGRITY™

Wool is an ideal material for mattresses to encourage better sleep; it’s comfortable and naturally regulates body temperature, but it’s also fully biodegradable. We wanted to find a fully traceable and ethical way to buy our wool, making sure it was British, responsibly farmed and farmers were fairly paid.

Our pioneering relationship with Red Tractor is an industry first with the aim to source 100% British wool that’s 100% traceable to the farm. Red Tractor standards cover the full farm supply chain including animal welfare, traceability and environmental protection.

But our approach extends much further, Hypnos has committed to paying a fair price to farmers, promptly and upfront so they can invest with confidence in a more sustainable and reliable future.

Every part of the supply chain is robustly audited too. From the collection, washing and combing of the wool to it’s delivery to our factory in Buckinghamshire where it becomes an integral part of a carefully crafted Hypnos mattress.
